Artist's Description:   This is a unique look into the world of these mallards. I captured the intimacy of this moment by painting a birds-eye view of the two ducks holding tight against the cover of the reeds. The overcast light and dark water suggest a backwater where these birds have found safe resting place. The female however has her head raised, which means that she is keeping an ever-watchful eye.
