Artist's Description:   This group of snow geese was seen at Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge in the Central Valley of California.  This area is a main wintering ground for these arctic geese and they will form feeding groups numbering in the tens of thousands.  If disturbed they will all launch simultaneously into the air and form a large swirling tornado - an incredible sight (and sound).
