Peter Sells Out at Wild Wing's Fall Festival! |
|
|
On October 6th & 7th Peter traveled to Lake
City,
MN
to
attend
Wild
Wings'
annual
Fall
Festival
- an
original
painting
showcase
with
50
of
their
artists.
Wild
Wings
is
one
of
the
leading
fine
art
publishers
in
the
country
and
the
festival
is
their
annual
showcase
of
original
art.
Peter
sold
all
three
of
his
paintings
that
were
on
display:
'Spring
Drake'
(pictured
to
the
right),
'First
Flight'
(the
painting
selected
for
the
DU
National
Package),
and
'Phantom
Ridge'.
He
also
met
and
spoke
with
many
wonderful
people
throughout
the
weekend.
All
in
all
the
show
was
a
resounding
success
and
Wild
Wings
was
an
excellent
host!
If
you
can
make
this
show
next
fall,
it
is
well
worth

Peter to Show in 'American Miniatures'
at
Settler's
West
Galleries |
|
Each February, Settler's West Galleries
hosts
a
group
show
called
"American
Miniatures".
It
was
the
first,
and
is
still
the
best,
exhibition
of
small
original
paintings
and
sculpture.
More
than
200
artists
will
participate
in
this
stellar
event,
including
Howard
Terpning,
William
Acheff,
Morgan
Weistling,
Scott
Christensen
and
Robert
Griffing.
For
the
second
year
in a
row,
Peter
will
be
among
these
prestigious
artists
in
this
unique
event.
The
painting
"Shore
Patrol"
(pictured
at
left),
sold
at
last
year's
show.

Breaking Skies is one of the latest original
paintings
by
Peter
Mathios.
This
painting
is
as
much
about
the
intricate
cloud
patterns
and
breaking
skies
as
it
is
about
the
excitement
of
seeing
ducks
committed
and
coming
in.
"I
was
really
trying
to
give
the
viewer
a
sense
of
flight"
says
the
artist.
The
painting
is
18"x24"
and
is
an
acrylic
on
board.
