Order exclusive Holiday Cards from Ducks Unlimited

The painting, Riverside Retreat, was used as one of their selections this year. The card is embossed and says "Best wishes for a wonderful holiday and a happy new year!" Collectors Covey Miniature Exhibition

The painting, Winter Woodies, will be one of two paintings included in the prestigious miniatures show at Collector's Covey in Dallas, Texas this November 12th.

When Peter first saw this spot while exploring a shallow lake on Sauvie Island, he thought "Wow! this would look fantastic with a group of wood ducks." - and the painting idea was born. As it so happens there were nesting boxes in some of the surrounding trees, so he knew the birds used the area at times, especially in the spring. Ultimately, the intricate, reflective patterns created by the fallen trees and the marsh grasses are what inspired this scene and twelve wood ducks filled the area as he had imagined.

Waterfowl Festival

Peter will be participating in the 39th annual Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland November 12, 13, and 14th. Twelve venues throughout Easton feature world-class wildlife paintings, sculpture, carvings and photos. Collectible decoys, sporting gear and adventures are also present to delight every outdoorsman. Also scheduled are World Championship Calling Contests, decoy auctions, retriever, fly-fishing and stunt dog demonstrations, kid's activities, and evening concerts. A festive atmosphere topped by great food and music make this event a must-see each November.

Caswell Gallery Miniature Show

Raven, the 4" x 4" painting to the left is one of 17 that will be featured in the upcoming miniature art exhibition at Caswell Gallery opening Nov. 5th.

Peter will be on hand with several other artists from the show on December 1st for an exclusive Holiday VIP dinner where he will participate in a live 'quick draw' event. The painting he creates on the spot will be auctioned off that night!
