Wild Arts Festival This
Weekend
Peter will be exhibiting his new
paintings and new prints this
weekend in the Montgomery Park
Atrium and Ballroom in Portland,
Oregon. Now in its 29th year in
Portland, the Festival has
become the northwest’s premier
show and sale of nature-related
art and books. The participating
artists and craftspeople
represent a wide variety of
media, and the authors present
are a mix of novelists,
photographers, poets and writers
of non-fiction.
The Wild Arts Festival will
feature over 70 artists and 35
authors in a festive atmosphere.
Hours will be 10am-6pm on
Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.
In addition to having the
opportunity to interact with and
purchase the work of the artists
and authors, participants will
also be able to bid on a great
selection of items at the silent
auction. Entertainment,
information about the programs
and work of Portland Audubon, a
café and the appearance of
Audubon's Educational Birds
round out the Wild Arts Festival
experience. Peter will be in
attendance throughout the
weekend greeting people, working
on new paintings, and answering
any questions. Feel free to stop
by, say hi, and see what he is
working on.

Teal Reflections 12"x24" |
Teal Reflections
Selected to DU National Art
Package
Teal Refelctions has been
selected to the 2011 Ducks
Unlimited National Art Package.
The print will be distributed to
Ducks Unlimited banquets and
auctions throughout the country
beginning in January 2011 to
help raise money for wetland
habitat throughout North
America. Ducks Unlimited invests
millions of dollars annually
into restoration projects and
land acquisitions to ensure that
our children and their children
have a place to enjoy the
waterfowl that fill our skies
each fall and winter. Each year
artwork plays a vital role in
DU's fundraising efforts and it
is an incredible honor to be a
part of it by being included in
the national package.
The painting depicts a lone
drake greenwing teal resting
during the early evening hours.
The light of the sky is
reflected in the water along
with the surrounding habitat,
which is ideal for this smallest
species of dabbling duck.
Greenwing teal have always been
a favorite species for Peter to
paint as much for their handsome
plumage as for their exciting,
twisting, turning flights.
