Ducks Unlimited International
Artist of the Year. For those

voting, many thanks! This is
quite an honor that Peter has
strived for since he was a

Daily Paintings |
|
Since January, Peter has been
creating nearly a painting a
day. These paintings are the
size of a postcard or smaller
and can be found on his new blog
'The Daily Paintings of Peter
Mathios'. The blog also features
a service where you can sign up
to receive new originals via
email each time one is posted to
the blog. These paintings are
being completed in addition to
his larger studio paintings and
are pushing him artistically.
The painting to the right is one
such example titled "Nesting
Goldfinch" - it measures only
5"x5". These are a fantastic and
affordable way to start and/or
add to your collection of
original art. |

Field & Stream Interview |
|
Peter recently did an interview
with Field & Stream Radio, the
largest outdoor radio show in
the world, which reaches over 3
million listeners through 200
affiliates each week. The show
can also be heard on Armed
Forces Radio worldwide. The
interview is expected to be
heard this April and discusses
his recent Ducks Unlimited award
as well the inspiration behind
his artwork. To find the nearest

Masterworks in Miniature |
|
According to U.S. Art magazine,
"Masterworks is a tradition in
quality artwork that should be
on every collector's calendar."
Now in its 17th year,
MASTERWORKS IN MINIATURE
annually features one of the
nation's most incredible
displays of original art. This
year's show recently began with
a grand opening reception
February 29 with the exhibit
hanging through Saturday, March
15, when the drawing for
purchase rights will be held at

Peter to Support Local RMEF
Chapters |
|
|
Peter will have artwork
auctioned off at both the Albany
chapter and the Cascade chapters
of the Rocky Mountain Elk
Foundation. The Albany chapter,
which takes place March 29th,
will feature the limited edition
print "In His Image" of a drake
wood duck. The Cascade Chapter
banquet will auction off an
original painting titled
"September Bull" (pictured) on
April 5th in the Regis High
School Gym in Stayton, OR. |
