Artist's Description:  Every elk hunter seems to have a favorite meadow that they check at certain times of the day. Meadows are critical elk habitat - mostly for food. These elk have just gotten up out of their bedding area and moved out to feed. The late afternoon light creates a dazzling contrast that illuminates these magnificent animals.
